The cost of AMR to the NHS alone is in excess of \u00a3180 million. A recent government report found that AMR &#8220;continues to increase&#8221; despite the drop of prescribed antibiotics by GP&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>Healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs) are contacted while a patient is receiving care for another illness.
